Harry J. Giacometti is a partner and co-founder of Smith Giacometti. His practice is focused on bankruptcy, debtor and creditors’ rights, commercial law and litigation.

Immediately prior to forming Smith Giacometti, Harry was associated with the large international law firm of Duane, Morris & Heckscher, as a member of the firm’s nationally-recognized Reorganization and Finance Department. Through his representation of lenders and other corporate clients, Harry has a wide range of experience which includes:

Asset sales and purchase transactions
Consumer and commercial bankruptcy
Tax controversies and litigation
Commercial litigation and bankruptcy

Before practicing in a private law firm environment, Harry was a trial attorney with the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice.

Harry has been a contributing author in Pennsylvania Foreclosures and Repossessions, published by the National Business Institute, as well as various sections in an annual publication called Developments in Reorganization and Commercial Finance Law. He has also lectured on various topics relating to commercial transactions, bankruptcy law and commercial litigation.
